Rev. Leon Lovell-Martin
The Reverend Nigel Leon Lovell-Martin has been serving as pastor at Myrtle Grove Presbyterian Church from February 1, 1997. His extemporaneous style of preaching is never without a challenge to the church to take seriously its role as the eschatological community that witnesses to the transformative power of God's Holy Spirit.
He is a Ph.D. candidate at Florida Atlantic University where he completed the degree of Master of Education in Adult Education Leadership. A 1988 graduate of the United Theological College, Jamaica, he also holds an Honors degree in Theology from the University of the West Indies.
He and his wife Barbara are parents to three children, Kadeem, Khalil and Khandi.
Rev. Earnestine Richardson
“I believe healing is both private and public. Whenever I am ministering to those who are in need of help, I encourage them to let the healing virtue of the Word of God be their guiding force, to be bound by the Holy Spirit in quiet times of inwardness and self-evaluation.”
The Reverend Earnestine Richardson serves as Pastoral Assistant for Care Ministries. Her responsibilities include visitation to homes and healthcare facilities. She also assists with counseling, preaching, and resource leadership in the Adult Christian Education program.
Previously she served as a pastoral care counselor with Project Outreach of the University of Miami and held a concurrent appointment with the AIDS Ministry of South Miami-Dade (AMOS) Project. She also pastored the New Covenant Presbyterian Church, Miami.
She holds the A.S. degree from Miami Dade College, Bachelor of Science from Trinity University and the Master of Divinity with a specialization in Pastoral Care from the Interdenominational Theological Center in Atlanta.
She is widowed and the mother of a daughter, Ullyssia.
Lucille N. Mindingall - Treasurer/Bookkeeper
Lucille was elected treasurer and also serves as Bookkeeper. With more than 30 years of teaching, she has spent the past 25 years as a teacher in the area of business technology at Miami Northwestern Senior High School. These are some of the expressions past students have used to describe her: a mentor, a confidant, a role model, a counselor, a friend, a teacher, a strong disciplinarian who takes her job very seriously.
Her education includes a Masters degree in computer technology from Barry University in Miami Shores, Florida and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Education from Allen University in Columbia, South Carolina.
Cathy V. Clarke - Church Educator
I was in the Third Grade when I sensed that God was calling me to teach, specifically those children with special learning needs. That sense of call remained with me and when I enrolled in college at the University of South Florida, I knew that I was to begin a course of study in Exceptional Student Education. A later decision to enter graduate school at Nova Southeastern University culminated with my earning a Master’s degree in the same field, a testament to my commitment to Special Education.
My passion for teaching has led to the development of my philosophy of education that given time, love, and nurturing, all children can reach their highest potential. As I live out this philosophy I realize that God is continuing to unfold new opportunities for me as I serve as Church Educator.
I also serve as an adjunct faculty member in the Exceptional Student Education program at Barry University in Miami Shores.
