CATHY V. CLARKE, CHURCH EDUCATOR

I was in the Third Grade when I sensed that God was calling me to teach, specifically those children with special learning needs. That sense of call remained with me and when I enrolled in college at the University of South Florida, I knew that I was to begin a course of study in Exceptional Student Education. A later decision to enter graduate school at Nova Southeastern University culminated with my earning a Master’s degree in the same field, a testament to my commitment to Special Education.

My passion for teaching has led to the development of my philosophy of education that given time, love, and nurturing, all children can reach their highest potential. As I live out this philosophy I realize that God is continuing to unfold new opportunities for me as I serve as Church Educator.

I also serve as an adjunct faculty member in the Exceptional Student Education program at Barry University in Miami Shores.
